Description
Shatton Hall Farm is superbly set at the head of a wooded valley in the heart of the Peak District. This is an area for walking, climbing, cycling, horse riding. We have farm trails, a trout lake, extensive gardens and a hard tennis court are to be enjoyed by our visitors, who can also relax on their own terrace or cottage garden.
We converted stone barns into 3 comfortable cottages, furnished in old pine. The Hayloft and Orchard Cottages are next door to each other and Paddock Cottage a little way across the farmyard.
The Hayloft sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms + option of an extra z-bed, cot/high chair. A spacious living room with oak beams and a refectory dining table seating 8 for larger groups in the fully equipped kitchen all upstairs. There is a bridge out to the garden and tennis court. Two double bedrooms and bathroom with a shower and separate WC are downstairs.
Orchard Cottage sleep 4 in 2 bedrooms + option of cot/high chair. The pleasant beamed living room and bedrooms are comfortably furnished in pine with bathroom and over bath shower, separate WC. An ideal choice for a young family, with a south facing garden and Bar-B-Q area.
Paddock Cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms + option of z-bed, cot/high chair. A well behaved dog is welcome here. There is easy access with a level layout except for 3 steps up from the living room to the main bedroom and bathroom. The added character of a wood burning stove make this cottage a haven in winter.
