Group Accommodation in Chelmorton
Chelmorton, which is only four miles from Buxton, is one of the highest villages in Derbyshire, sitting at 1200ft above sea level. It is overlooked by Chelmorton Low, from which a stream flows down through the village, bearing the distinctive name of illy willy Water. The Parish Church of St John the Baptist, one of the highest situated churches in the land, dates partly back to the early 13th century. As well as exploring the glorious countryside around Chelmorton you can enjoy Derbyshire’s unique well dressings in the village if you visit in the summer.
